Jim Green

  Chicago-born Jim Green is a trailblazing acoustic guitar instrumentalist known for his percussive guitar techniques, captivating fingerstyle performances, and innovative use of alternate tunings. Since 1999, Jim has crafted a unique sound that transcends genre boundaries, combining fiery, rhythm-driven songs with intricate, piano-like fingerstyle compositions that captivate both listeners and viewers.

With 14 albums and multiple singles showcasing his versatile style, Jim’s music spans avant-garde, rock, and singer-songwriter influences. His live performances shift from full-band energy to intimate, melodic guitar solos that draw comparisons to progressive acoustic and contemporary fingerstyle genres. Known for his meticulous musical craftsmanship, Jim gained early recognition from Billboard Magazine as "one of the best independent artists in the Midwest" and won the 2004 Guitar Idol Championship.
